Jewelry Box

The design is a blend of Biedermeier and Art Deco. Made of Ceylon Satinwood and Wenge woods.  Dark frame is Wenge and the gold panels are Ceylon Satinwood which consist of reverse diamond veneer patterns. Subtle inlays around the stand and center of door give some extra detail to intersecting lines. Base consists of a bend laminated leg with connecting Satinwood dowel. The interior of the cabinet is outfitted with White Oak
dovetail drawers that are lined with black velvet. The piece is finished with a high gloss French polish performed by hand. Together with these details is a museum quality piece that will function as a jewelry box and as a freestanding gem on its own. Designed by Oscar Menzer, Menzer McClure Architects, Memphis TN. This cabinet was intended to be a accent piece in a master closet in a private residence in Memphis.
